Are titles to my articles important if I want them to be read? Your article title should be short and concise describing your entire article in one statement. Titles can take the form of statements, questions or promises. An example is the "how to" promise, a very popular article title line. Titles should also contain keywords for search engines and continued throughout the article. Article titles should not be a sales pitch, most article directories will kick them back if they notice a sales pitch anywhere in the content portion of your article.
It should be informative, unique and quality oriented, not a sales pitch. Prior to starting your article you must choose an appropriate subject to talk about. This should be followed up with identifying your target audience. Determining these things can lead you to a good article title. Sometimes it's best to pick the title last. The easiest way to construct your article is to come up with 3 to 4 paragraph header sentences. This makes your article a lot more manageable. After that you should write about 5 content sentences per paragraph. Once your finished, your article should be between 350 to 500 words. Remember articles that are too much longer then that tend not to get fully read.
Take one long article and break it down to several smaller ones. While you're writing your article, if it appears like you can't get everything in at under 500 words why not break it up into smaller chunks and write 3 or 4 more articles. In the article title you could add part 1, 2, 3, etc at the end referencing more to come. One point of article marketing is to establish yourself as an expert in your field, make sure you submit your best work.
This is an awesome way to establish yourself as an expert in your niche, generate targeted traffic to your site or blog. Remember no sales pitches what so ever. At the end of your article you have a bio box, this is where you place a link and a compelling message.
